Pray the Requiem in Latin

By far the simplest act of charity, that one can give is by praying the eternal rest prayer, for the souls of the faithful departed. Perhaps it may be the greatest act of charity that can be done; for the souls can do nothing to help themselves.  REQUIEM aeternam dona ei (eis), Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei (eis). Requiescat (-ant) in pace. Fidelium animae, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.. ETERNAL rest grant unto him/her (them), O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him/her (them). And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
