022026 ~ The Weekly Wag! - Wendy Welch

February 20, 2026 ~ Lucy Ann Lance is joined by Wendy Welch, HSHV Director of Communicaions for the Weekly Wag! Wendy talks about Kodak, a 5-year-old, 63-pound lab mix who has been at the shelter since late last year. Kodak has high energy, but the shelter offers “Pajama Parties,” allowing potential adopters to take an animal home for three nights to see how they adjust. Welch also mentions many puppies are available for adoption at the shelter, with various sizes, and advises considering an older dog’s benefits over a puppy’s intense training needs.
