October 27, 2025 ~ Lucy Ann Lance is joined by Eileen Spring, President/CEO, Food Gatherers. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced that SNAP benefits will not be distributed in November. The suspension of benefits is due to the federal government shutdown and a delay in the distribution of funds. Food Gatherers is purchasing more food and increasing distributions in November to help people in our community impacted by the delayed payment of SNAP benefits.
