Andy discusses their “Strengthening the Safety Net” grant program. For over 20 years, this program has funded clinics providing free or low-cost medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to uninsured or underinsured Michigan residents. This initiative has supported over a quarter million residents, resulted in two million doctor visits, and saved $200 million by reducing unnecessary emergency room visits.
