Paul has appeared in supporting roles in films like Cruella, I, Tonya, Late Night, BlacKkKlansman, and Da 5 Bloods. In 2019, he had his breakout performance as the title character in the film Richard Jewell and has also appeared in a number of television shows including Cobra Kai, Reno 911!, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Black Bird is a six-episode psychological thriller inspired by actual events. Paul Walter Hauser stars as Larry Hall, a suspected serial killer who is befriended by Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton) in order to elicit a confession and find out where the bodies of several young girls are buried before Hall’s appeal goes through. The series also stars Sepideh Moafi, Greg Kinnear and Ray Liotta. The first two episodes of Black Bird debut Friday July 8 on Apple TV+ followed by one new episode weekly.
