Episode 99 Lester and Carol Dotts

69 year-old Lester Dotts, and his wife, 67 year-old Carol Dotts, were months away from celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary when they were killed in a flurry of bullets inside their Farragut, TN home by three young, but ruthless young men when they walked in on a burglary in progress. The youths were quickly caught and arrested, and received varying sentences, but unbelievably, one of the group has been a free man for years, and a second one is up for parole and may get out by the end of 2021. But Les and Carol's daughter Jeanne is not taking things lightly, she has started a petition and is asking all listeners to sign, and share it, to help keep a killer behind bars. Time is of the essence. Will you help? Jeanne discusses her parents tragic deaths, and her efforts to keep a bad man in prison where he belongs.

The Murder In My Family is a true crime podcast that shifts the focus from the sensational details of the crime itself to the enduring, often overlooked aftermath. Hosted by AbJack Entertainment, this series delves into the profound and lasting impact of homicide on the survivors left behind. Each episode gives voice to the families, friends, and loved ones whose lives are irrevocably altered, exploring their grief, resilience, and the complex journey toward seeking justice and peace. Listeners will hear intimate, firsthand accounts that reveal the human cost of violence, moving beyond headlines to understand the personal stories of loss and survival.
