The Phillies Are A Rollercoaster! (PST Episode 662)

The Phillies Are A Rollercoaster! (PST Episode 662)

Author: The Philadelphia Sports Table April 9, 2026 Duration: 59:20
We are less than a month into the Philadelphia Phillies 2026 season. What we can say for certain is that the team is an up and down rollercoaster. Joining us this week to discuss what we’ve seen from the team thus far was Ethan Witte from TheGoodPhigh.com over at SB Nation. The guys talked batting. They talked early pitching. Where should our minds be at with this team?
But first, the guys discussed and dissected the latest huge story in the NFL: the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini story, and how that correlates with the Eagles and A.J. Brown trade talks. (Approx. 4:20)
From there, they dove into some Flyers talk as this team is now in a playoff position. (Approx. 16:40)
Then the pivoted to the Sixers and how the latter part of their season has looked. Might they actually make it into the postseason after uninspiring play on the court as of late? (Approx. 23:50)
The Phillies are a good baseball team, but we need to see a lot more coming from key players in the lineup. (Approx. 32:10)
What they threw down on the Table this week was a great and in-depth conversation with Ethan Witte from The Good Phight about the start of the Phillies season. They first discussed the need for fans to chill out with less than a month of baseball having been played. The future of Taijuan Walker. Can the bullpen keep up their dominant consistency? Which player needs to start rebounding this early? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (Approx. 42:25)
