070 - Power and Speed - Keith Jones of Total Seal Piston Rings

070 - Power and Speed - Keith Jones of Total Seal Piston Rings

Author: Readington Digital July 27, 2016 Duration: 1:11:08

Mike and Tom in studio.  Cletus is caught in traffic.

Tom was away on vacation last week... what did he do.  Nothing, including return Mikes calls.  I do not think we have heard the last of that one.

Lots happened in the world why the guys were off.  RNC nominated Trump, the DNC just got underway.  Wow, sure called that one wrong huh "media".  DNC opens with some leaks, and Mike shares his view on Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

PowerStop brakes.  Fail on QC, overall not terrible.  I think in the end if you asked the guys opinion on this stuff, it's not bad.  Worked out cheaper than an auto parts store, but just check everything over pretty well before you take everything apart.

We always get requests for people to come back.  Howard from Redline, JC from ATI, and already Robert from Forced Performance.  We will always be happy to have guys back and this guest is no exception.

Keith Jones from Total Seal Pistons Rings joined the guys for a second installment of ring tech.  For those of you that did not listen to the first one, stop reading and do that now. This guy is "The Guy" when it comes to rings.  Tom was quite candid in saying when they, Manley Performance, need to know about rings Keith is the guy they call.  That alone speaks volumes.  Keith was nice enough to let everyone know how to get in touch with him, and if you are going through an engine, we suggest you make that call.

Live again next week Monday night at 7:00 PM EST on Mixlr.com.  Call in number 908 751 0211.  Live callers welcome, and this will be the line for giveaways.

Hosted by Mike, Tom, and Tad, The Power and Speed Podcast digs into the raw, unfiltered world of automotive performance, where those two concepts reign supreme. This isn't a polished studio show; it's a garage conversation that roams wherever the scent of racing fuel leads. One week, the discussion might dissect the engineering behind blistering runs at the Texas Mile, and the next, it could drop you into the gritty, spontaneous atmosphere of local street and grudge racing scenes. The podcast regularly features voices from across the racing spectrum, from top-tier professional drivers to the master builders behind the engines and chassis that make extreme performance possible. You'll hear technical debates, personal stories from the track, and passionate explorations of whatever racing subject has the hosts' attention that week. Brought to you by Readington Digital, each episode is built for those who understand that in the pursuit of going faster, the details-and the people-are everything. Tune in for a genuine, wide-ranging take on the culture and mechanics of speed.
