The Super 70s Sports Show
There’s a certain flavor to the conversations that happen when two friends who came of age in a specific era get together, and that’s exactly what you’ll find on The Super 70s Sports Show. Host Ricky Cobb and his longtime pal Ronnie T-Shirts use sports as their primary launching pad, but the discussion never stays confined to the box score. They dig into the entertainment, the cultural shifts, and the sheer experience of life through the lens of having grown up in the 1970s and 80s. This isn't just a nostalgia trip; it's a way of examining how the games we watched, the music we heard, and the societal changes we lived through shaped a generation. Each episode feels like pulling up a chair at the local diner booth with two guys who have a deep, personal connection to the material, blending sharp analysis with personal anecdotes and a lot of laughter. You’ll hear debates about legendary athletes and iconic teams, sure, but also reflections on how those moments intersected with everything else happening in the world at the time. For anyone who remembers that period fondly, or for those curious about how sports culture used to feel, this podcast offers a uniquely grounded and entertaining perspective. Ricky and Ronnie’s chemistry turns each topic into a broader conversation about memory, fandom, and the threads that connect past to present.
