The Poisoned Wife – and a cop who didn’t buy her husband’s story

The Teacher's Pet from The Australian is a gripping investigative podcast that unravels the disappearance of Lyn Dawson from Sydney's northern beaches. Lyn and her husband Chris, a star footballer and popular high school teacher, seemed to have a perfect life - until Lyn vanished and unsettling questions emerged. Across the listen episodes, journalists dig into a story of a devoted wife and mother who suddenly goes missing, a charming husband whose past is not what it seems, and strangely close twin brothers whose lives are tightly entwined. Through interviews, archival material, and relentless reporting, the podcast explores failures in the justice system, cultural blind spots, and the treatment of vulnerable young women. Expect a meticulously reported narrative that blurs the line between true crime, news, and social history, inviting listeners to reconsider what they think they know about love, loyalty, and the pursuit of truth.
