Anime Is Over So We Played Some Games

Hosts Mumi & Psy are the heart of The Weeb Crew, a podcast born from a genuine, all-consuming passion for Japanese animation and its surrounding culture. This isn't a formal review show or a sterile analysis; it's the sound of two friends deep in conversation about the shows, characters, and tropes that define their otaku experience. Each episode feels like pulling up a chair in their space, where discussions can effortlessly drift from the latest isekai sensation to the enduring charm of retro mecha series or the nuanced appeal of a particular shoujo manga. They delve into the broader ecosystem, too, talking about conventions, gacha games, and the distinct flavors found across genres like shounen, seinen, and yuri. The joy here is in the deep dive and the tangential chat, exploring everything from magical girl transformations to the pages of Shounen Jump with equal enthusiasm. Listening to this podcast means joining a relaxed, knowledgeable, and often humorous dialogue where the love for anime-from mainstream hits to niche interests-is the only required credential. It's a celebration of fandom in all its forms, perfect for anyone who wants their anime talk to feel like hanging out with the most enthusiastic people in the room.
