Ethnic Studies sounds like such a warm, fuzzy concept. I learn about you, you learn about me. We foster mutual respect, tolerance, and appreciation for our cultures, traditions, and histories.

Unless you’re a Jew.

What masquerades as a well-intentioned effort to promote co-existence and understanding within the great melting pot we call America, happens to have a very dark underbelly that not only excludes, but demonizes, one minority group.

The one group, in fact, that is the target of more hate crimes than any other, despite comprising only 2% of the American population.

Condescendingly branded as the uber-White, uber-privileged, uber-oppressors, the Jewish people and the Jewish State are literally depicted in many of these Ethnic Studies using age-old antisemitic tropes and blood libels that teach our next generation to not only hate the Jews but to march against them, openly threaten them, and even call for their death and destruction.

Not so warm and fuzzy, is it

In this LIVE conversation, Shana Meyerson of YOGAthletica and Brandy Shufutinsky dive deep into the cesspool of Ethnic Studies and Critical Race Theory and discuss how, exactly, these movements that pretend to promote unity and understanding actually radicalize our next generations with divisive and hateful rhetoric

If you are a yogi or yogini who thinks that Ethnic Studies promotes tolerance and understanding of all minorities, you owe it to yourself to listen to this discussion about how our children are being programmed to demonize the Jewish State and the Jewish people and what the downstream effects are of such dangerous indoctrination.

Hosted by Shana Meyerson, The Yoga of War Podcast: Fighting for Israel & The Jewish People exists in the complex space where spiritual principle meets stark reality. This podcast explores the profound moral and ethical questions surrounding the Israel-Gaza War, specifically through a pro-Israel lens, while being grounded in the ancient philosophy of yoga. The central, challenging tension is between the yogic tenet of Ahimsa-non-violence-and the duty to defend one’s community as discussed in texts like the Bhagavad Gita. Each episode features conversations with a diverse range of voices, from activists and thinkers to community leaders, who share their insights and personal reckonings with this conflict. Listeners will hear nuanced discussions that don’t shy away from the tragedy of war but instead seek to understand the justification and heavy responsibility of a defensive fight. It’s a series for those grappling with how to hold space for peace and spiritual non-violence while confronting the necessity of standing for Israel and Jewish peoplehood in a time of crisis. The dialogue in this podcast is intentionally focused, offering perspective and depth on current events filtered through enduring principles of faith, politics, and human dignity.
