The Israel-Hamas War is now in Day 628. Certainly you have heard about Israel Defense Forces reservists who have served 300 days of active duty. IDF Sergeant Major @chaimalespin just completed 628.

That means for 628 consecutive days, Chaim has voluntarily put his family, his business, his life, and his personal safety on the back burner in order to defend his country. It's a kind of patriotic commitment that is hard to comprehend in most of the world. Not in Israel.

Israel is more than a country. Am Yisrael is a family. And family always stand together.

Chaim Malespin is the Chairman of the Board of the Aliyah Return Center and the host of The Real Israel Podcast. A faithful Jew, Chaim dedicates all aspects of his life to helping the Jewish State and the Jewish People to thrive, and his dedication knows no bounds.

In this LIVE conversation, Shana Meyerson of YOGAthletica and Chaim Malespin discuss dedication and purpose, war and peace...and how they all tie together.

If you are a yogi or yogini who thinks war is the antithesis of peace you owe it to yourself to listen to this discussion about defending your nation, defending your people, and doing it all in the hopes of a better future.

Hosted by Shana Meyerson, The Yoga of War Podcast: Fighting for Israel & The Jewish People exists in the complex space where spiritual principle meets stark reality. This podcast explores the profound moral and ethical questions surrounding the Israel-Gaza War, specifically through a pro-Israel lens, while being grounded in the ancient philosophy of yoga. The central, challenging tension is between the yogic tenet of Ahimsa-non-violence-and the duty to defend one’s community as discussed in texts like the Bhagavad Gita. Each episode features conversations with a diverse range of voices, from activists and thinkers to community leaders, who share their insights and personal reckonings with this conflict. Listeners will hear nuanced discussions that don’t shy away from the tragedy of war but instead seek to understand the justification and heavy responsibility of a defensive fight. It’s a series for those grappling with how to hold space for peace and spiritual non-violence while confronting the necessity of standing for Israel and Jewish peoplehood in a time of crisis. The dialogue in this podcast is intentionally focused, offering perspective and depth on current events filtered through enduring principles of faith, politics, and human dignity.
