You can tell a lot about a person by meeting his mom.

I don't know about you, but I have never had the pride and pain of sending a child off to war.

Today's guest, Maya Ziv, has and is here to share with us not only the overwhelming and extremely complex emotions around being an IDF parent, but also the state of a nation, Am Yisrael, how they have dealt and continue to deal with the Gaza war and its fallout.

In this conversation, Shana Meyerson of YOGAthletica and Maya Ziv discuss the hope, the fear, and the raw emotions of Israel's war, not only in Gaza, but also on six other fronts, as it defends itself from the Iranian regime and all its terrorist proxies.

If you are a yogi or yogini who think the Israel Defense Forces and the State of Israel are bad actors in this war, you owe it to yourself to listen to this discussion about existential wars and why they must be fought in the battle of good vs. evil. Western Civilization's War on Terror.

She practices yoga, meditation, and Theta healing on a daily basis, and strongly believes that creating inner balance is our goal in life. This last year-and-a-half have been the toughest years of her life, being the mother of a soldier fighting for Israel and defending his country. And this challenge was only made tougher, as it forced her to face her and her husband's conscious decision in 2007 to move back to Israel from Boston, and raise their American-born children as Israelis. A move that inevitably meant all three children would eventually serve in the IDF and possibly during wartime. Timing is everything and watching her son fight in Israel's longest and bloodiest war has changed her life forever.
