You could say that Or Taicher is a musician but he is so much more than that.
Or Taicher is a creator, filmmaker, creative director, & visionary entrepreneur whose work focuses on using art, music, and storytelling to create large scale human connection.
He is the founder & Artistic Creative Director of Koolulam, the global immersive singing experience that has brought hundreds of thousands of people together to sing in harmony.
Through his social impact films, national campaigns, and artistic leadership, Or has become a leading voice in shaping creative experiences that inspire empathy, healing, and collective hope around the world.
Koolulam released their first YouTube video, Or Gadol, in 2017 with a musical production that mesmerized and mystified the world. Two years later, they smashed the internet with their viral production of Matisyahu’s One Day, sung in harmony in Hebrew, Arabic and English. A perfect musical depiction of Am Yisrael in one song.
I was blessed to be a part of Koolulam’s singing experience with 20,000 of my closest friends at the AIPAC Policy Conference in 2019. When I reached out to Or to see if he would join the Yoga of War Podcast, we hopped on a Zoom call to simply connect. I had never met him in person and had no idea that there is no such thing as a simple connection with this incredible human being.
What started as a simple meet-and-greet, metamorphosized very quickly into—well, this podcast episode. The conversation was too profound not to share and so, today, I’m going to let you in on our private, candid, and completely unscripted discussion.

Koolulam is a global social musical initiative that brings thousands of strangers together to create a shared, immersive singing experience. Founded in 2017 by Or Taicher, Koolulam teaches participants to sing well known songs in original arrangements, uniting them through harmony, emotion, and a sense of shared humanity. The filmed performances have reached hundreds of millions worldwide, and the project continues to expand internationally, including a new permanent immersive show in Las Vegas and large scale productions across Asia.
