This Is A Podcast About House Music

Hosted by ThatPodcastGirl C.Dub, This Is A Podcast About House Music is a deep, chronological excavation of the genre's foundational sounds and scenes. Rather than jumping between eras, this series methodically explores house music history by focusing on specific cities and the decades that defined their contributions. You'll hear the detailed stories behind the birth of the sound in Chicago, its evolution in New York, and the distinct regional flavors that emerged from Detroit, the UK, and beyond. The narration is delivered in a deliberately calm, moderated, and slow-paced tone, designed to be both informative and immersive. This approach creates an ASMR-like quality, making the podcast ideal for focused listening or for setting as a background soundtrack while you work, with entire seasons flowing seamlessly on autoplay. It’s for anyone who wants to understand the roots and branches of house music through a structured, soothing auditory experience. Each episode is a chapter in a larger story, patiently unpacking the people, places, and records that built a global movement.
