The accusative case in Russian is one of the six grammatical cases used to indicate the role of a noun or pronoun in a sentence, particularly the direct object of a verb. It's used to show the noun that is receiving the action of the verb. In English, this is often the noun that follows the verb and answers the question "what?" or "whom?"
