11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.
Ego sum pastor bonus. Bonus pastor animam suam dat pro ovibus suis.

 12 But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and flieth: and the wolf catcheth, and scattereth the sheep:
Mercenarius autem, et qui non est pastor, cujus non sunt oves propriae, videt lupum venientem, et dimittit oves, et fugit : et lupus rapit, et dispergit oves;

 13 And the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling: and he hath no care for the sheep.
mercenarius autem fugit, quia mercenarius est, et non pertinet ad eum de ovibus.

 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me.
Ego sum pastor bonus : et cognosco meas, et cognoscunt me meae.

 15 As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.
Sicut novit me Pater, et ego agnosco Patrem : et animam meam pono pro ovibus meis.

 16 And other sheep I have, that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.
Et alias oves habeo, quae non sunt ex hoc ovili : et illas oportet me adducere, et vocem meam audient, et fiet unum ovile et unus pastor.

Each day, Traditional Latin Mass Gospel Readings offers a moment of quiet reflection through the appointed Gospel passage, read in English according to the traditional liturgical calendar. Hosted by Ken Hagen, this podcast serves as a consistent audio companion for personal devotion or study, drawing directly from authoritative sources like the 1962 Roman Missal and The Saint Andrew Daily Missal. Accompanying the Gospel, you’ll often hear a brief narrative about the saint of the day, sourced from classic devotional texts with proper ecclesiastical approval. The result is a straightforward, reverent presentation that follows the rhythm of the Church’s year without added commentary, allowing the scriptures and the lives of the saints to speak for themselves. Whether you are seeking to deepen your daily prayer routine or simply wish to connect with the liturgical heritage of the Latin Mass, this series provides an accessible and focused way to incorporate these readings into your day. Tune in to this podcast for a clear, unadorned delivery of these foundational texts, presented with care and fidelity to their traditional context.
