Welcome to Episode 1 of the Trapping Today Podcast!  This podcast is a new project I hope will help trappers and provide an additional resource to the trapping community.  In this episode, I give a brief introduction of myself and Trapping Today, and discuss fur prices for 2018.  Enjoy, and please comment with your feedback and suggestions for future episodes.

Trapping Today is a voice for a hands-on, often misunderstood craft, moving beyond the basics to explore the realities of modern trapping. Hosted by practitioners deeply embedded in the community, this podcast delivers timely updates on regulatory shifts, fur market trends, and essential news for both fur harvesters and those involved in Animal Damage Control. Each episode digs into practical, field-tested methods, discussing specific sets, gear modifications, and animal behavior insights that can refine your approach. The conversation acknowledges the evolving landscape of the tradition, balancing respect for heritage with contemporary ethics and effectiveness. It’s a direct line to experienced perspectives, where nuanced tips and candid discussions about challenges replace simple how-tos. For anyone committed to the craft, whether managing wildlife conflicts or pursuing fur, Trapping Today serves as a crucial, ongoing dialogue.
