The Phantom Killer /// Part 2 /// 888

Author: TRUE CRIME GARAGE November 26, 2025 Duration: 1:10:02
Few of the True Crime stories we have covered become a legend. This story has. In part that might be because the murderous monster that committed several murders in Texarkana in 1946 seemed to come out of nowhere. The hunter quickly was named the Phantom Killer. Then 10 weeks after the attacks began, the Phantom vanished. The Phantom Killer stalked and hunted young adults and teens on the streets of Texarkana always on the weekend from February 22nd through May 3rd. Texarkana became the "Town that Dreaded Sundown." The killer truly was a phantom in every sense. To this day the folks in the Texas, Arkansas border town still talk about the Phantom Killer and the Texarkana Moonlight Murders.

Settle in for a detailed, often gritty conversation that feels like hanging out in a friend's garage. On True Crime Garage, hosts Nic and the Captain take a weekly, methodical look at real-life mysteries, from infamous international headlines to lesser-known local stories that deserve a closer examination. Their approach is both analytical and conversational, breaking down the facts, timelines, and theories surrounding each case with a focus on thorough research. The tone is grounded, featuring the kind of sharp, off-the-cuff banter that comes from two friends deeply engrossed in a topic, making the complex details of an investigation more accessible. You'll hear them sift through evidence, debate possibilities, and sometimes even revisit older cases with new information, all while maintaining a respectful tone toward the victims and their families. This isn't about sensationalism; it's about pulling a case apart piece by piece to understand the how and why. The result is an immersive podcast experience that feels less like a formal lecture and more like a compelling, extended dialogue. For anyone fascinated by the unresolved and the meticulously researched, True Crime Garage offers a substantive, engaging listen that goes beyond the surface-level facts, all delivered with the casual, familiar vibe of a late-night discussion.
