TRUE HOUSE STORIES® W/ WHO # 128 INTERVIEWED BY LENNY FONTANA

Lenny Fontana & True House Stories interview UK duo The Wh0, originally masked in mystery from 2018, the deiced to unveil their faces in 2023 on the MistaJam Capital Radio Show and soared to global music success. With a Grammy nomination, and 70M+ streams, they've firmly established themselves in electronic music's forefront. In this podcast the two members talk about they're upbringing and their entry in the music business. In the studio, Wh0's prowess shines through, producing tracks for Ten City, Anton Powers of Ministry of Sound, Example, Idris Elba, Kah-Lo, and more. The Wh0 Plays & Wh0 Worx Records release music bi-weekly, establishing them as fresh musical tastemakers in the industry. A significant milestone was achieved with a studio session and release alongside the legendary Nile Rodgers from Chic. The Wh0 speak about a very important upcoming collaboration with Diva Vocalist Kathy Brown who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. UK DJ Mark Knight and ToolRoom records partnered on this release. It was huge dream for the duo to take a classic production and create a new sound to it.  The single is called "Turn Me Out” which was released many years prior on Cutting Records. The Wh0 are immensely proud to be releasing this record. Following the tragic news that legendary US vocalist Kathy Brown is fighting stage 4 cancer, they wanted to give something back to an artist who musically we have all grown up with, and respect greatly. With that in mind, we have decided to release this record with all profits going to Kathy’s ‘GoFundMe’ campaign to help pay for her health care fees. The single was reproduced for the Charity Fund of Kathy Brown. Watch carefully as the duo let secrets out on how they run a successful partnership.

There's a whole world of rhythm and soul behind the tracks that fill dancefloors, and True House Stories opens the door to it. Hosted by the respected DJ and producer Lenny Fontana, this isn't just a series of conversations; it's an oral history project for a genre built on feeling. Each episode sits down with a different architect of the sound-DJs, producers, vocalists, and label founders-to pull back the curtain on the moments that shaped everything. You'll hear the unvarnished, sometimes messy, reality of how classic records came to be, the late-night studio sessions that turned into anthems, and the personal journeys intertwined with the music's evolution. Fontana, speaking from a lifetime inside the scene, guides these discussions with a genuine curiosity, ensuring the stories remain candid and often surprising. Tuning into this podcast feels like finding a lost archive of club culture, where every interview adds another essential layer to our understanding of house music's enduring pulse. It’s for anyone who has ever felt a four-on-the-floor beat and wondered about the people and passion that put it there.
