365 days of Trump 2.0

It’s been a year since Donald Trump’s return to the White House. In a lengthy briefing to mark the occasion, he laid out his achievements and ambitions - at the centre of it all is Greenland.

Trump refuses to rule out how far he is willing to go to secure it, and after posting an AI image of a US flag planted on Arctic ice, markets stumbled amid fears of a trade war with Europe. NATO, once again, is left hanging as Trump declines to give an unequivocal commitment to the alliance and hints everything is up for negotiation.

Martha, James and Mark reflect on what this moment tells us about Trump’s presidency and what a year back in power really looks like as he heads into year two.

And Mark’s additional analysis looking back at the last 12 months of Trump is available here.
