Supporting diversity in our workforce is an ongoing battle. If we look to Afghanistan and women's right, where in the 1920s - King Amanullah Khan's Reforms: pioneered in advocating for women's rights, as did Prime Minister Mohammed Daoud Khan in the 1950 - 1970s continue with Progressive Changes, including the right to vote in the 1964 Constitution. Since the Taliban have risen to power there has been a degradation of women's rights.

The same is true of promoting, nurturing and promoting diversity in the workplace.

It is an ongoing battle and our conversation Kevin Gibbs, Executive Director: Communities at Bracknell Forest Council, shared his experience as a black and openly gay and disabled senior officer coming through the ranks of local government.

One of the most powerful episodes that I have ever conducted and I truly appreciate Kevin's openness and insight.
