Bonus Episode: 'The iSpoof Scam: Britain’s Biggest Fraud'

Author: Always True Crime October 10, 2025 Duration: 36:56

This is a special bonus episode with Grace from the excellent REDRUM podcast.

The iSpoof scam was a massive online fraud where criminals used fake caller IDs to pose as banks and steal money and over 200,000 victims were targeted across the UK. Police called it one of the biggest cyber scams in British history and in this episode and today, Grace and I look behind the scam.

Rather than sensationalism, the approach is one of meticulous narrative, built on thorough research and a respect for the human stories at the heart of each event. You'll hear detailed accounts of crimes from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, examining not just the facts but the social contours and personal journals that give these stories lasting weight.
