Lost Evidence. Unanswered Questions. The Death Of Ed Cornes : Episode 1/4

Author: Always True Crime July 26, 2026 Duration: 28:34

Welcome to this special four-part series of the UK True Crime Podcast, where I explore the life and death of 19-year-old Ed Cornes.

Ed had only just begun the next exciting chapter of his life when, in October 2021, he arrived at University College London with ambitions of becoming a barrister. But less than 48 hours later, those ambitions were cut tragically short when paramedics were called to a hotel in King's Cross, just half a mile from his university accommodation, where they found Ed dead.

At the time of his death, Ed was in the company of two men in their fifties - strangers he had met only a few hours earlier.

Throughout this series, I'll speak to Ed's family and friends - the people who have fought tirelessly to uncover the truth about exactly what happened to him. Together, we'll examine the events leading up to his death, the police investigation that followed, and the many questions that still remain unanswered today.

If you have any information at all that can help us find out any more about what happened to Ed, please contact in the strictest confidence:

1, Ed's family via Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Da8cL06MHmq/

2, The Met Police: opthrupp@met.police.uk

3, Me: Adam@uktruecrime.com

Next Sunday, I sit down with Ed's mum, Miriam, and his best friend, Sam, to learn more about the young man behind the headlines and the profound impact his death has had on those who loved him. I hope you'll join me for this episode.
