Ed Sheeran speaks out after Macklemore was dropped from his tour—not by Ed, but by the promoter—following backlash over Macklemore’s onstage support for Palestinians, including a performance of “Hind’s Hall” calling for a ceasefire. Though venues and powerful figures like Robert Kraft expressed concerns that Macklemore’s message conflicted with their commitment to inclusivity, Sheeran insists his shows are meant for unity and joy, not politics. He spent the week trying to mediate but ultimately respected the final decision, acknowledging Macklemore’s advocacy while emphasizing that peace requires more than loud voices.
