Reducing Midair Collisions

Reducing Midair Collisions

Author: Seaplane Pilots Foundation May 12, 2021 Duration: 28:09

"Those that haven’t had a close call in the air will, and those who have, will have more." This sobering statement comes from SPA Field Director Mike Kincaid in regards to midair collisions and avoidance procedures.

On this week's podcast, Mike joins Steve and Abbie to share his experiences and give qualified advice on how to prevent midair collisions in sea and land planes. We want to see our pilots using good judgement and decision making to reduce their chance of being involved in a midair collision.

Importantly, this episode covers techniques that seaplane pilots can exercise to avoid midair collisions.
