S16 Ep863: First Knight (1995)

For over a decade, the crew at We Hate Movies has been turning cinematic misfires into comedy gold. Each episode from WHM Entertainment finds a quartet of friends dissecting a famously bad film, from forgotten straight-to-video oddities to big-budget Hollywood disasters. The conversation is less a formal review and more like eavesdropping on the funniest, most brutally honest film debate at a bar, where tangents about obscure actors and baffling plot holes are not just encouraged, they’re the main event. You’ll hear them mercilessly roast wooden dialogue, ill-conceived special effects, and questionable life choices made by characters and filmmakers alike, all while building a surprising affection for these flawed creations. This podcast thrives on the specific joy of tearing apart a terrible movie with your most sarcastic friends, celebrating failure as its own form of entertainment. It’s a consistently hilarious escape for anyone who finds more genuine laughs in a film’s awkward silence or a poorly rendered CGI monster than in a perfectly crafted Oscar winner. The chemistry between the hosts turns each episode into a freewheeling comedic breakdown, making even the most tedious movie an absolute delight to revisit through their critical and deeply silly lens. Tune in for a masterclass in comedic riffing, where the love for cinema is undeniable, even when-or especially when-the movies themselves are not.
