Avenue Q Brings Puppets and Truth to Wilmington | Wilmington News

Get ready for a grown-up puppet show that’s equal parts hilarious and heartfelt — “Avenue Q” is landing in Wilmington this week, blending felt puppets with human actors to tackle real-life struggles like post-college anxiety, love, and finding your place in the world. Winner of the 2004 Tony Award for Best Musical, it’s edgy, satirical, and surprisingly tender — perfect for anyone who’s ever felt lost but still wants to laugh. The cast reveals the insane multitasking behind controlling puppets while singing, dancing, and acting — all while delivering a message that life’s tough, but you’re not alone. Catch it at Thalian Hall’s Ruth & Bucky Stein Theatre — tickets available online or at the box office weekdays from noon to five.
