Left Coast Wine - Joe Wright

Left Coast Wine - Joe Wright

Author: DKPS Media May 6, 2019 Duration: 22:48
Family owned and operated Left Coast Estate has been built and guided by two essential principles: a passion for winemaking and a deep connection to the land where we live and farm. Founded in 2003, we completed the initial phase of the winery just in time for the inaugural 2004 vintage of our label bearing a Lewis and Clark map, illustrating our special place in the world. We are in the middle of the Willamette Valley, just 37 miles from the Pacific Ocean with the immense, cooling benefit of the Van Duzer Corridor running through the property.
n the fifteen years since our beginnings, we have gone from a largely grape growing operation with long term contracts with fellow Oregon producers, a wonderful opportunity to establish the high quality of our fruit, to an all Estate commitment. We farm nearly 160 acres of vines on our 500 acre Estate, largely sedimentary soil laid down by the Missoula floods and some volcanic soil as well. We grow and meticulously tend our vines and grapes, handcraft our wines and bottle them on site, a fusion of art and science, most certainly a labor of love.

Crossing the Atlantic from its original home, Wine Soundtrack-USA brings a deeply personal format to American listeners. This podcast, produced by DKPS Media, sits at a unique intersection where the arts of storytelling and winemaking converge. Instead of tasting notes or vintage charts, each episode is built around a candid conversation where a wine producer answers thirty questions. That framework reveals the person behind the label-their history, their philosophy, and the daily realities of running a vineyard. You’ll hear the unscripted hopes and challenges that define a vintage long before the bottle is ever opened. It’s about the landscape, the family decisions, and the quiet moments in the cellar that most never get to witness. Originally launched in Italy in 2017, this series has built a reputation for intimacy, and its U.S. launch extends that same thoughtful inquiry to American soil. For anyone curious about what it truly means to craft wine, this podcast offers a direct line to the source. The conversations are less an interview and more an invitation to listen in on a story that’s been years in the making, one that gives context and character to every glass. It’s for those who believe the best part of wine is the human connection it represents.
