In the first hour we find out what is happening at the Grand Theater with Executive Director Sean Wright. Down to about 100 days until the major renovation of the Grand will begin but, until then, still plenty of great shows coming like "Mrs. Doubtfire" for two shows a week from Saturday.
We also discuss Donald Trump's endorsement of Michael Alfonso in the Republican primary for the 7th Congressional District seat being vacated by Tom Tiffany. The 25 year old Alfonso has limited professional experience and none politically other than being the son-in-law of former Congressman Sean Duffy. That is leading to some backlash from the right.
Rupert Murdoch's right-wing media empire is encouraging Donald Trump to back off the ICE presence in Minnesota. Members of the MAGA "new" media is urging the opposite. WSAU's Chris Conley is with the far right and urges "no retreat". We disagree with that.
