Today’s songs revolve around automobiles: cars. Starting with Aussie singer Ted Mulry and his popular seventies hit Jump In My Car and followed by soul singer Wilson Pickett and Mustang Sally. Two teen tragic songs about car crashes are Tell Laura I Love Her by Ray Peterson and the number I hit for Mark Dinning Teen Angel. The Beatles chime in with Drive My Car while the aptly named group The Cars perform their big eighties hit Drive. An unusual take on the theme is our own Bobby And Laurie’s excellent cover of Hitch Hiker. The program concludes with icon Janis Joplin and her Mercedes Benz.

 Enjoy today’s fabulous show, Automobiles.
