For our first program of 2025, we are going further back in time and presenting old songs that were given a new arrangement later on. The tone is set by Nina Simone’s classy My Baby Just Cares For Me. Others keep the tone of the original such as The Lettermen with the Way You Look Tonight and Art Garfunkel’s lush arrangement of I Only Have Eyes For You. But other performers sing up tempo versions of old songs like Bobby Rydell’s inimitable style on That Old Black Magic and Ricky Nelson’s version of the Gershwin classic Summertime. Bobby Darin rocks out You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby while ex Aussie Frank Ifield sings his big hit I Remember You.
