Amen or Amun-Ra? And The Origins of the Hyksos w/Hank and Kyle (Guest Show)

Welcome back for another episode of You're Missen the Point Podcast. This week I have a fantastic bonus episode for you all. Earlier this month I was invited on to the "6+4+3=Conspiracy Podcast" by Hank and Kyle to discuss the origins of the word Amen and whether it has any connection with the ancient Egyptian god Amun-Ra. You all know I’m a massive geek when it comes to language, etymology and the origin of words. Combine this with the historical and theological perspectives I was absolutely stoked to have this conversation.  After I started my research for this episode I was absolutely floored with what I found out. What seemed like a simple bit of historical research around a name, its origins and meaning took on a life of its own. Forcing me to reflect what I thought I knew and ask myself some very interesting questions. Now I don’t want to give too much away but this research led me to the story of Exodus and the Northern Egyptian Kingdom of the Hyksos. Which many history savvy people would know weren’t ethnic Egyptians rather a semitic people from the Levant region that invaded and adopted Egyptian culture ruling the north for 108 years.  How this links to the Amen and Amun-Ra controversy is a long story and I hope you enjoy hearing it as much as I did researching it.  So get ready and prepare to have your minds blown.
