The Unfiltered Point: Scottish Feathered Serpent Jesus

Welcome back everyone! Today I have something new and exciting for you all. By now you already know I enjoy a good film breakdown and analysis, but I have yet to tackle a book review. Well today is the day and I couldn't think of anyone more well read than my good friend Heidi Luv from the Unfiltered Rise Podcast.  We are calling these little collaborations 'The Unfiltered Point'. Where we get straight into the minutia and nitty gritty of our chosen books. Oh don't worry this isn't some Oprah's book club over here, no fan boys or girls and certainly no gold stickers. This is a straight forward and honest review of books with an emphasis on the good and the bad.  To kick things off Heidi and I have unintentionally chosen books with a connected theme. Ancient cultures, alternative history and even an alternative Jesus. We have colourfully named this episode 'Scottish Feathered Serpent Jesus'. Why? You might be asking well sit back and have a listen to find out.    Heidi's book choice: The Messiah in Ancient America by Warren Ferguson. Drew's book choice: Britain the Key to World History by Comyns Beaumont.   We went on to discuss the following; - The authors of our books and their backgrounds. - A synopsis of our chosen books. - The common thread amongst all stories, mythologies and legends. - How details change but the underlying message remains the same.  - Why everyone wants to be the original chosen people.  - Revisionist history VS hidden history.  - Why do people cherry pick evidence? - 9 truths and 1 lie.  - "No, you didn't write a book AI did". - Where we find the books that we read. - Final thoughts, the good the bad and the ugly.   And much much more.    Heidi and I plan on doing more of these in the future each bringing a book to share with you the audience. Hopefully we can help you guys broaden your horizons and read about topics you may be unfamiliar with.    You can follow Heidi over at the Unfiltered Rise Podcast  https://open.spotify.com/show/4pzqktZNcGNZhzAeF9Zd3Q?si=d791dcfa39b041a5    *This podcast and the information presented are for entertainment or informational purposes. Hosted by drewmissen88, You’re Missen the Point unfolds through meandering, long-form conversations that find the unexpected connections between our daily absurdities and life’s bigger mysteries. This isn't a lecture or a scripted bit; it's more like pulling up a chair for a late-night talk where topics drift freely from the oddly funny to the spiritually profound. The discussions live in that unique space where comedy, religion, and spirituality overlap, treating nothing as too sacred to be laughed at or too bizarre to be taken seriously. Each episode digs into the weird, wonderful, and downright bizarre aspects of existence, asking questions that don't always have easy answers but are always worth the time to explore. You'll hear genuine curiosity driving chats that might start with a peculiar news story, wander into personal reflection, and land somewhere near a philosophical revelation, all with a relaxed and open-minded tone. The whole point of this podcast is to embrace the digression, finding insight and a few laughs in the tangents. It’s for anyone who enjoys thinking deeply but doesn’t take themselves too seriously, offering a companionable audio experience that values the journey of the conversation over any forced destination.
