008 Another Mass Shooting

Just in, there was a shooting at the University of North Carolina at Charleston. According to the news, 2 have been confirmed dead. I don't have any more information but it is a chilling event when you are into account that only a year 3 days ago on April 27th there was another shooting in California where a person shot four people one of whom has died.  Mass shootings are no joke and should be considered when building your security plan and personal protocol.  In this episode I discuss becoming desensitized to violence and how that puts you at a greater risk of becoming a victim.  Remember to always go back to these three things: A Plan Situational Awarness Take Action Know your surroundings and have a plan to avoid risks and threats to your wellbeing. Have a plan of escape or avoidance.  Be aware always of the people and actions around you. Consider the social framing around you. Ask yourself if a person or people should be there. Do they fit the frame? If a person, people, or activities don't fit the frame its time to take action. Remember that you can not decide whether or not you should take action when the event is happening. You must have already committed to the plan all you are waiting for is the proper trigger or event that doesn't fit the frame. Then you must act with out hesitation.  #YourSecurity #YoureSecurity #Security #SecurityAwareness #PersonalSecurity #SecurityPodcast #UNCC UNCC Shooting
