Chopping it up with Ben Soman

Curated by Mike Kincaide, You're the Dj, I'm the Podcaster is a conversation built around a shared playlist. The premise is simple: you bring the taste, and Mike builds the episode. It’s a personal, unfiltered space in the vast world of music podcasting, where the host acts less as a critic and more as a fellow enthusiast sharing discoveries. Each episode feels like digging through crates with a friend who has a deep, genuine appreciation for the tracks he plays, spanning genres and eras you might know or are about to love. The dialogue is honest and transparent, focusing on why music sticks with us, the stories behind the sounds, and how certain songs become part of our personal life soundtrack. There’s no corporate sheen here-just a passion for the art form, with the clear disclaimer that this is a labor of love, not commerce. Tune in and you might just find your next favorite artist, gain a new perspective on an old classic, or simply feel like you’ve made a new connection over a mutual appreciation for a great beat. It’s a podcast that reminds you why you fell for music in the first place.
