Contemporary Classical

Contemporary Classical - on air as New Contemporary Music - is a composer's radio station in the most literal sense: every piece it plays is original music written by John Macdonald, a keyboard-centred composer who builds his catalogue in styles from classical and romantic to Celtic, easy listening and meditation.

The range is unusually broad for a one-man station: worship and relaxation pieces, old-time dance, commercial and background music among them, with album releases such as Forest Meditations and My Romantic Feelings feeding the playlist. Christian faith is part of the project's fabric, with devotional messages published alongside the music.

Hosted on Radio.co and carried by major internet radio directories, the English-language station streams free of charge around the clock - an easy, genuinely one-of-a-kind contemporary classical listen online for relaxation, study and quiet listening.
