Mix102.3 was Adelaide's familiar hit-music voice on 102.3 FM for a quarter century - and it carries a much older soul: the licence began life as 5AD on 2 August 1930, making it one of Australia's earliest commercial stations, a dial position the city has known through every radio era since.
The AM years on 1310 and later 1323 kHz ended in 1992 with the move to FM, the Mix brand arrived in 2001, and the station has since joined ARN's KIIS Network - the on-air identity now reads KIIS 102.3, with a Top 40 chart format, DAB+ digital radio and a 96.7 repeater into the Adelaide Foothills.
