VRT Nieuws

VRT Nieuws is the news webradio of the Flemish public broadcaster - radio with one subject: what is happening now. Built on the newsroom behind VRT NWS, the channel runs continuous bulletins and current-affairs coverage in Dutch, from Flemish politics to world events.

The format suits the news-hungry listener: rolling updates rather than music, in-depth items rather than filler, and live coverage when events demand it - elections, breaking stories, major sport. As part of the VRT digital family it complements the broadcaster's full-service stations with a stream that never leaves the day's story, in the same Dutch that Flanders reads in its feeds and hears in its bulletins.

Streaming through VRT's own audio platform, the channel opens in any web player or radio app, keeping Dutch-speaking listeners - in Flanders and beyond - informed around the clock. Free public-service web radio - a live listen, the news of Flanders, non-stop.
