About ILLYRIANS RADIO

Illyrians Radio was an Albanian-language webradio whose name reached all the way back to the Illyrians, the ancient people of the western Balkans, whose name still carries regional pride. The format faced firmly forward: Balkan hits and Albanian favourites alongside R&B and hip hop for a diaspora audience that listened in Albania, in Belgium and across Europe.

The station once ran on Streamerr hosting with its web home at illyrians.co, the classic small setup of a diaspora project - one operator, one stream, one tightly-knit community - with a logo, a language pair and a category trail left behind in the radio directories.

What remains now is the archive: the name, the two languages and the genre mix that once connected far-flung listeners back to home. Balkan diaspora web radio - a listen online should the frequency ever return to the air and start its AutoDJ again.
