V BOMBOM

V BOMBOM is a web radio from Palotina, an agricultural city in far western Parana, Brazil. The name translates roughly as chocolate bonbon, and the station keeps the tone equally light - a small, friendly operation with a compact Instagram following, a direct phone contact and a refreshingly simple website.

Programming is built on hits: a rolling, uncomplicated mix of current chart tracks and familiar favourites in Portuguese and English, running around the clock. Its signature feature is the song request - a short form on the site where listeners send their name, city and the track they want to hear, keeping the playlist in touch with its audience.

Regulars can also install the dedicated Android app, Radio V Bombom, and start the stream with one tap. For a station from the Parana countryside, that is everything a free web radio listen online needs - and a little more.
