About CIDADANIA FM
Cidadania FM broadcasts on 87.9 MHz from Mafra, a border city in the north of Santa Catarina, under a slogan that says plenty: uma nova maneira de fazer radio - a new way of making radio. The station backs its FM signal with a fully interactive home page: a live chat, listener greetings, song requests and even its own merchandise store.
The grid reads like a manual of small-city Brazilian radio. Mornings open with sertanejo and the Acorda RioMafra breakfast show, midday brings Cidadania News bulletins and the Cidadania TOP countdown, afternoons run through Radio Alegria and the Rodeio 87 country hour. Weeknight evenings belong to Classicos do Rock, Fridays and Saturdays turn to dance parties and club hours, and the long Sunday Túnel do Tempo block rolls oldies deep into the night.
The playlist follows the national pop and sertanejo charts - recent top picks on the site range from Zé Neto e Cristiano to Luísa Sonza - in Portuguese, streaming around the clock. For a city of Mafra's size, remarkably full-service free web radio to listen online.
