Agreste FM

Rádio Agreste FM 89.5 is a veteran of the Pernambuco interior: more than thirty years on air - the 2019 thirtieth-anniversary party sits in its gallery, and the motto now reads 34 anos marcando geracoes. Its claim: numero um em audiencia, first in audience.

The schedule mixes Brazilian music with genuinely local service: O Agreste Reclama - the Agreste complains - is a citizen-complaint program, Ligado em Voce keeps the afternoons connected, and the newsroom covers the region's towns from Cupira to Afogados da Ingazeira. Horoscopes, locutores and a busy recados wall complete the interior-classic package.

A Google Play app and an around-the-clock stream carry the Agreste voice to the region's diaspora. Free web radio to listen online, three decades and counting.
