About Boomer Radio Sydney
Boomer Radio Sydney greets its audience with a cheerful Hey Boomer! - and the name is the format: an independent online station built for the generation that grew up with vinyl and transistor radios. The playlist covers the classic hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s: the British Invasion and Motown, classic rock and disco grooves, new wave anthems and stadium rock.
The pitch is music from back when life was easy, fun and carefree, free of the repetitive playlists of modern commercial radio. The station takes requests and dedications from listeners, and it speaks to advertisers too, offering the over-55 audience that mainstream radio tends to ignore. Boomer Radio Sydney streams live online and through the big radio apps and smart speakers, so the soundtrack of three decades is always one request away.
