4RO (AU Only)

4RO on 990 AM is one of the oldest stations in Queensland, on air in Rockhampton since 1932. The format mixes local and networked talk: the day opens with Boodles Big Breakfast with Aaron Stevens, made in Rockhampton, before the big networked names take over - Gary Hardgrave in the morning, Michael McLaren in the afternoon and John Stanley at night. Sundays bring 70s Sunday Night, an evening of seventies music.

Rockhampton is the beef capital of Australia, and 4RO keeps the region company the way regional AM radio always has: news, talk, community events and the familiar songs. Saturday mornings belong to CQ Lifestyle, the local program for Central Queensland. One note for listeners abroad: the online stream is available in Australia only - the station geo-blocks the rest of the world, so this one is for locals and those on Australian soil.
