2YYY - Young 92.3 FM

2YYY broadcasts on 92.3 FM from Young, the town on the South West Slopes of New South Wales that calls itself the Cherry Capital of Australia. It is the community station of the town: volunteer presenters, local programs, music across the tastes of the district, and the news and notices that a small community relies on.

Young sits in cherry and stone-fruit country, with a gold-rush history behind it - the town saw the Lambing Flat goldfields and the famous riots of 1860. Each December the National Cherry Festival draws visitors from across the state. 2YYY keeps the modern town talking to itself, from the orchards to the shops on the main street. The station streams live online, so the voice of Young can be heard anywhere - by the seasonal workers passing through or the former residents far away.
