Firebeatz: The Dutch House & Electro Powerhouse

Firebeatz is a Dutch DJ and production duo known for their high-energy contributions to the big room house and electro house genres. Formed in Tilburg, the pair gained international recognition through a series of festival-ready anthems and high-profile collaborations with some of electronic music's biggest names.

Early career

Firebeatz was formed in 2008 by Tim Benjamin Smulders and Jurre van Doeselaar. The duo from Tilburg, Netherlands, quickly established themselves within the Dutch house scene, releasing early tracks on labels like Spinnin' Records that showcased their signature blend of driving basslines and catchy melodic hooks.

Breakthrough

The group's breakthrough arrived in the early 2010s as the global EDM boom took hold. Their 2012 collaboration with Schella, Dear New York, became a staple in festival sets, while their 2013 release Max Ammo on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings solidified their status as hitmakers within the big room circuit.

Key tracks

Dear New York - This 2012 collaboration with Schella served as a major breakout track, defining their energetic sound.

Max Ammo - Released on Revealed Recordings, this track became a big room anthem and a mainstage favorite.

No Heroes - A collaboration with KSHMR and Luciana, this track demonstrated their ability to craft vocal-driven electro house with massive crossover appeal.

Helicopter - This Martin Garrix collaboration further amplified their reach, becoming a global festival staple.

Ignite - A later single that encapsulates their polished, mainstage-ready production style.

Throughout their career, Firebeatz have worked with a roster of elite artists including Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and KSHMR. Their consistent output on premier labels like Spinnin' Records and Musical Freedom has kept them at the forefront of the electro and big room house genres for over a decade.

Fans of the driving, festival-focused sound of Firebeatz also enjoy the music of similar Dutch electronic acts. Martin Garrix shares a similar trajectory from the Dutch scene to global headliner status. Hardwell champions the same big room house energy on his Revealed Recordings imprint. Tiësto is a fellow Dutch icon who has frequently collaborated within the same electro house sphere. Oliver Heldens represents another successful Dutch producer, though with a deeper, future house flavor.
