How Dare You Say Lindsay Clancy Is a Psyop?!

Author: A Ghost in the Machine: part absurdist humor, part armchair philosophy, and part political dissidence! It's all part of Life's rich pageant! September 5, 2026 Duration: 45:28

In this episode, I share my thoughts about the Lindsay Clancy case (which I touched on in yesterday’s post). Fortunately, I heard these very interesting details from Owen Benjamin before I got too emotionally invested in this controversy:

Obviously, anyone who would kill children like this should be executed, and all the more so if she is too mentally defective to know that killing children is wrong. With that caveat out of the way, I also know that the social engineers (1) hate us and want to harm us and (2) use stories like this to manipulate us and to divert our time, energy, and attention towards things that benefit them and harm us. And I know that they lie. Constantly. About everything. And no lie is too big for them to tell with a straight face. Whether this facts of this case really happened or not, the bottom line remains this: be cautious, because the social engineers are doubtlessly steering the public controversy in a harmful direction.

First, there’s the take-away for young men and women, especially white middle-class men and women, which is, “Don’t marry or have children.” If you’re a man, you’ll believe that your sweet and cheerful girlfriend is capable of becoming a homicidal maniac and butchering her own children.. If you’re a woman, you’ll believe that if this madness could seize Lindsay Clancy and compel her to murder her own young children, then it could probably happen to you as well, so … better not risk becoming a mother! And we know how anti-natalist the messaging to young educated whites has been for a very long time, and we know who has been promoting that message incessantly.

Second, there’s the push for full-term abortions. If they can recenter the Overton Window around whether it’s okay for women to have post-birth abortions, then they’ve already won.

Third, there are all the things we’re NOT paying attention to if we’re focused on the Lindsay Clancy case. We’re not worried about the erosion of what’s left of the First Amendment to stop people from publicly criticizing the government of a foreign country. We’re not worried about yet another war of choice on behalf of that same foreign country that has materially harmed regular Americans by raising costs on all kinds of everyday things regular people need. We’re not talking about how the political class of that foreign country is discussing new ways to use American’s indebtedness to coerce them into signing up to fight and die in the wars that benefit that same foreign country and that harm regular Americans.

If there’s one lesson we should have learned from the past century of high-profile, emotionally-charged, politically-controversial psyops, it’s that these things are rarely what they seem at first glance. Be careful what you pay attention to, and be careful what you agree to.

Daniel D hosts A Ghost in the Machine, a podcast that feels like a long, rambling, and surprisingly insightful conversation with a friend who’s had one too many coffees. Each episode is a unique blend of absurdist humor, armchair philosophy, and political dissidence, all filtered through the perspective of a self-proclaimed regular human trying to make sense of a world gone mad. You’ll hear nerdy, philosophical musings that might remind you of Woody Allen’s neurotic charm, suddenly erupting into the loud, angry energy of a comedian like Sam Kinison, all delivered with a self-deprecating admission that some of it might be, well, full of it. It’s a chaotic and honest examination of modern life’s oddities and injustices, from the trivial to the profound. This isn’t a polished lecture; it’s a raw, comedic, and often cathartic rant session that embraces the messy spectacle of it all. Tuning into this podcast means joining Daniel as he navigates the news, politics, and sheer absurdity of daily living, always with the rallying cry that it’s all part of life’s rich pageant. Expect to laugh, groan, and occasionally pause to think about a point long after the episode ends.
