Bobby Congalton - The Science of Developing Athletes

Bobby Congalton - The Science of Developing Athletes

Author: Pete McCall & Glassbox Media April 30, 2021 Duration: 58:49
Once upon a time the prevailing thought was that athletes should AVOID lifting weights because adding muscle would reduce their athletic ability which explains why football players had two-a-day practices and baseball players had spring training; they had to get in playing shape for their respective sports. Now in 2021 most high school athletes receive better strength and conditioning coaching than pro and collegiate athletes did as recently as the 1990s. Bobby Congalton is a founders of 1RM Performance, an athletic conditioning facility located in sunny, suburban San Diego. Bobby applies the science of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization to first help his athletes move better; and once they move better he uses the conjugated method of training to help them become stronger and more explosive. The results are amazing; Bobby has helped a number of athletes progress from playing in high school to competing on a college team. In addition, he has helped some make the transition to playing at the professional level. On this episode of All About Fitness, Bobby talks about how he uses the conjugated method help his athletes succeed and his secret for identifying whether or not an athlete has what it takes to compete at the highest level of his or her sport.   Learn more about 1RM Performance: http://www.1rmperformance.com https://petemccallfitness.com Order a copy of Ageless Intensity: High Intensity Workouts to Slow the Aging Process: https://amzn.to/3wJHKi4 Order a copy of Smarter Workouts: The Science of Exercise Made Simple https://amzn.to/3fub1Yl Get relief from sore muscles and promote recovery after hard workouts; order the NIMBL XLR8 massage gun - use code AAF20 to save 20% https://joinnimbl.com/products/xlr8 Dynamic anatomy; $29 https://allaboutfitness.inspire360.com/allaboutfitness/dynamic-anatomy-recorded-webinar-and-e-book-bundle-copy Learn how your muscles and fascia function as an integrated system to move your body along with how to design the most effective exercise programs for the core, legs, inner thighs, shoulders AND glutes. 0.2 CECs - ACE, NASM and AFAA Dynamic anatomy e-book; $7 Learn how your muscles and fascia work to move your body. dynamic-anatomy-how-your-body-moves-during-exercise Exercise program design for the fountain of youth; $49 https://allaboutfitness.inspire360.com/allaboutfitness/exercise-for-the-fountain-of-youth Learn the science of how exercise can burn fat, build muscle AND slow down the aging process, includes workout programs to help you find your fountain of youth. 0.3 ACE, 0.4 NASM and 4 AFAA Exercise for the Fountain of Youth e-book; $7 Learn how exercise can help you to slow aging and find your fountain of youth. https://allaboutfitness.inspire360.com/allaboutfitness/allaboutfitness/exercise-for-the-fountain-of-youth-e-book Total Body Core Training; $67 https://allaboutfitness.inspire360.com/allaboutfitness/total-body-core-training-continuing-education-program-for-fitness-professionals Learn the science of exercise program design and how to build a stronger body by first creating the foundation of a strong core.
